Bildender Künstler, Bühnenbildner, Regisseur – Hans Op de Beeck (* 1969 in Belgien) lässt sich nicht auf ein einzelnes Genre festlegen. In begehbaren Installationen reiht er Videos, Skulpturen, Gemälde und Zeichnungen so aneinander, dass mehrere Erzählstränge eine komplexe Geschichte formen, deren roter Faden jedoch nur subjektiv vom jeweiligen Betrachter herauszulesen ist. Op de Beeck hält seine Arbeiten bewusst offen, um Raum für individuelle Interpretationen und Erinnerungen zu schaffen. Anlässlich seiner neuesten raumgreifenden Inszenierungen in München, die Werke der Sammlung Goetz präsentieren, erscheint eine neue Publikation, die das gesamte Schaffen des Künstlers während der letzten Jahrzehnte darstellt: von Videoinstallationen der 1990er-Jahre über Skulpturen und Papierarbeiten bis zu ortsbezogenen Environments. “Brown” floating shelves

Love these floating shelves!

Holes in brackets are not spaced for studs!

So the quality of this not great, but good enough and they look nice enough on the wall. However, the bracket holes are not spaced at 16" intervals. WTF? I'm not sure who designed this thing. The molly plugs that came with it look OK, but to play it safe I used a cobalt steel drill bit and made my own holes in the bracket. Easy enough with some wd40. My other pick with this is that the screws to anchor the shelf to the bracket are black and and very obvious... they should have supplied some kind of cap.
