Was in dieser Phase versäumt wird, kann später kaum aufgeholt werden. Deshalb liegt der Schlüssel zur Chancengerechtigkeit in der frühkindlichen Bildung. International und auch in der Schweiz hat die frühkindliche Bildung, Betreuung und Erziehung in letzter Zeit grosse Aufmerksamkeit erlangt. Vom Eltern-, über das Schul- bis zum Bundeshaus gibt es eine grosse Übereinstimmung, dass wir diesem Bereich eine weit grössere Aufmerksamkeit schenken müssen als bisher.

Im Frühjahr 2009 findet dazu eine internationale Tagung an der Universität Fribourg statt, unter dem Matronat von Prof. Margrit Stamm und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Schweizerischen UNESCO-Kommission. Das Leitthema dieser Tagung konzentriert sich auf die Frage, wie kleine Kinder erzogen, betreut und gebildet werden sollen, damit sie optimal für einen erfolgreichen Lebensweg vorbereitet sind und damit alle Kinder die gleichen Bildungs- und Integrationschancen bekommen

Dieser Band wird die Ergebnisse der Tagung zusammenfassen; Kontroversen aufzeigen, die sich rund um die Frage ergeben, inwiefern Bildung im Vorschulalter stattfinden soll und schliesslich offene Fragen identifizieren, die Grundlage für eine vertiefte Auseinandersetzung bilden.

It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character.
