Diese Batteriebox sollte ausschließlich am Heck des Boards montiert werden, da sich der Empfänger an einer anderen Stelle in der Box befindet – nämlich unterhalb der Batterien. Über einen Anschluss am unteren Ende der Box ist der Empfänger mit einer dünnen Drahtantenne verbunden, die durch ein Rohr unter dem Midfish Air Footpad bis zum Bug des Boards gefädelt werden kann. Dadurch wird die Bluetooth-Verbindung von der Fernbedienung zum Empfänger sichergestellt, selbst wenn das Heck zusammen mit der Batteriebox beim Starten und Fahren unter Wasser gerät. Bei der Verwendung der eTrapez-Batteriebox kann es bei diesem Setup zu Signalproblemen kommen, da sie keinen Anschluss für die Drahtantenne hat. Sollte die Batteriebox beim Fahren unter Wasser geraten, kann die Verbindung abbrechen und der Motor aussetzen. Leichtere Fahrer, die die Batteriebox nicht unter Wasser drücken, sollten hiermit keine Probleme haben.

Darüber hinaus raten wir davon ab, die Batteriebox mit Antennenstecker in Kombination mit dem eTrapez zu verwenden, da die Signalübertragung von der Fernbedienung möglicherweise nicht stabil ist. Dies gilt insbesondere für Boards mit geringem Volumen, bei denen der Boden der Batteriebox wahrscheinlich beim Liegen auf dem Board und Beschleunigen unter Wasser ist. Im Gegensatz dazu hat die eTrapez-Batteriebox den Empfänger im Deckel, der typischerweise über Wasser bleibt, wenn man auf dem Board liegt.

Für zuverlässige Leistung und optimalen Signalempfang ist es am besten, nur die Batteriebox mit Antennenstecker auf das (Midfish Air) Board zu montieren.

Gorgeous, but some big downsides

I wanted to like this bag SO BADLY. I’ve owned other backpacks by this brand and they have never disappointed. This one though, was a close miss. The color is absolutely GORGEOUS and I almost kept it for that reason alone. However, two big things made me return it: 1) The inside is no longer padded. If you had purchased older Golf Supags backpacks, the interior had padding to help the backpack keep its shape and not slouch over on the floor. That’s gone, so this one does flop over a little. But the big deal breaker: 2) holy cannoli, these straps are WAY too long! On the shortest length, the backpack is still hanging almost halfway down my back. It looks weird, but it’s also not ergonomically good for your back. The actual strap part (with padding) is so far back that the thin seatbelt adjustable material is the only thing on my shoulders. Super awkward. I’m not necessarily a small person either, so I shudder to think what this would look like on someone more petite than me.
