Die PH 8.3 auf einen Blick

Tonabnehmer für Vinyl-Spieler erfordern immer eine zusätzliche Verstärkungsstufe. Um alle Möglichkeiten der analogen Scheibe bis an die äußerste Grenze des Machbaren auszuschöpfen, hat AVM eine audiophile Phonovorstufe mit einer Vielzahl an umfangreichen Komfortfunktionen entwickelt. Mit der OVATION PH 8.3 werden Anpassungen der Phonovorstufe bequem vom Hörplatz aus möglich, um verschiedene Tonabnehmersysteme, Arme und Vinyl-Spieler ideal wiederzugeben. Als Ausgangsstufe kommt wie bei allen Modellen der OVATION 8 Serie eine original OVATION Röhrenstufe mit exklusiver AVM 803 T Röhrentechnologie und ihrem unverkennbar charmantem Röhrenklang zum Einsatz.

Maximaler Komfort und Vergleichbarkeit: Mit der OVATION PH 8.3 Phonovorstufe können alle gängigen Anpassungen eines Tonabnehmersystems (MM/MC) vorgenommen werden und noch viel mehr! Vom Hörplatz aus lassen sich leicht die idealen und persönlichen Einstellungen finden: Ganz bequem können Gain, Load, Mono/Stereo, und auch die Entzerrungskurve sowie das Subsonic Filter per Fernbedienung angepasst und gespeichert werden. Der Hörplatz muss dazu nicht verlassen werden und die ideale Vergleichbarkeit, auch zwischen verschiedenen Armen/Tonabnehmersystemen, wird so ganz einfach.

 

Die Technologie dahinter

Der PH 8.3 entzerrt die Phonosignale rein passiv und analog und eben nicht in einer Verstärkerstufe. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass jede der drei Zeitkonstanten individuell eingestellt werden kann. Dadurch ist es möglich, neben der heute weit verbreiteten RIAA-Kurve, 5 weitere gebräuchliche LP-Entzerrungen zu verwenden (RIAA, TELDEC, NARTB, EMI, COLUMBIA, DECCA). Diese Kurven unterscheiden sich in dem beim Schneiden der Schallplatte angewendeten Eckfrequenzen & Zeitkonstanten. Diese Scheidekennlinien werden vom PH 8.3 mit einer Genauigkeit von besser +/- 0,1 dB invertiert. Durch die aufwändige Matchingprozedur der verbauten Widerstände (auf 0,1% gematcht) und der Folienkondensatoren (auf 0,5% gematcht) erzielen wir diese extreme Genauigkeit.

Mit dem schaltbaren Subsonic Filter lassen sich Rumpelgeräusche wirksam dämpfen (30Hz/12dB/Oktave).

Zur Einmessung unterschiedlicher Tonabnehmersysteme lassen sich die Pegel (Gain) in 5dB Schritte anpassen. Zum klanglich idealen Einmessen und für ältere Aufnahmen können auch Mono/Stereo und die Phase invertiert werden. Alle Anpassungen oder Einstellung sind bequem vom Hörplatz über die mitgelieferte Fernbedienung aus möglich und werden auch automatisch gespeichert.

Auf den Eingangssteckkarten werden die einkommenden Signale gleich nach dem Eingang auf Line Niveau verstärkt (ca. auf 150mV), bei MM um 40dB, bei MC um 60dB. Alle Entzerrungen oder Einstellungen werden dann mit diesen stark vergrößerten Signalen vorgenommen, Verzerrungsanteile aller nachfolgenden Stufen fallen so im Verhältnis weit weniger ins Gewicht. Bis zu 4 verschiedene Eingänge lassen sich nach Wahl bestücken, damit können aus den folgenden Eingangsmodulen beliebige Zusammenstellungen gewählt werden: MC XLR (balanced), MC RCA, MM RCA. Der PH 8.3 erkennt automatisch welche Module auf welchen Plätzen bzw. als Kombinationen gesteckt sind und passt alle Funktionen wie z.B. die Menüstrukturen an. Die Eingänge lassen sich zudem auch individuell benennen. Eingänge sind galvanisch voneinander getrennt.

Der Aufwand ist auch für die Spannungsversorgungen immens: 5 Unabhängige Netzteile versorgen alle Stufen des PH 8.3 einzeln und schließen wirksam unerwünschte gegenseitige Beeinflussung der Verstärkerstufen durch andere Baugruppen aus. Die silent Schaltnetzteile liefern hochgenaue Versorgungsspannungen, praktisch unabhängig von der Netzspannung. Im Gegensatz zu großen Trafonetzteilen werden bei diesen Netzteilen keine klanglich negativen magnetischen Felder erzeugt.

I don’t review things unless they REALLY “wow” me, rare, lol. My eyes had been watering for about a month from allergies, then last week my eyeballs were literally hurting so badly, which that had never happened to me before. So I got eye drops made with ketotifen (from the Walmart App) and it got rid of the pain in my eyeballs and stopped symptoms immediately, thank goodness. Then, from the constant watering, rubbing, dabbing and wiping my eyes, alll above, below and around my eyes became raw and chapped, burning and painful. I tried everything! Aquaphore, Goldbond, Pili Ani, and a lot of other brand name high quality face washes, moisturizers, masks, creams, oils and nothing was helping and some seemed to make it even worse. I saw this product and after reading the reviews, decided to give this one last shot before going to a Dermatologist. The moment I applied it, I felt INSTANT relief and soothing. I also was surprised to literally feel it tighten the skin! This morning I woke up to use it, day 3, and before I did I noticed my skin was so much better!!!…No longer painful, discolored or swollen & puffy, the skin was still silky soft from applying it last night, and my orbital skin is 97% better!!! The pink/red/purple has gone away, it’s no longer tender/burns to the touch, and you can literally feel it nourishing and tightening your skin. After begging, my husband let me try it on his skin (lol) just to make sure I wasn’t going koo koo. He noticed too! And commented about how soft it is! Yes~Exactly! It makes your skin like SILK! It is a tad oily when you first put it on, but it “settles” quickly into a gentle softness and doubles as a primer before you apply your makeup! It smooths out your pores and makes your skin so smooth. Just this morning was the first time I applied makeup with it and was pleasantly surprised. I have tested it putting it on the top of one hand and nothing on the other, timed an hour and WOWWWWW the difference in undeniable! I personally recommend using it after washing your face before you put anything else on (moisturizer, makeup, etc). As long as you give it 10-15 minutes to let it absorb and settle, you’re good to go with or without makeup! I’m just really glad I found this because that skin is so sensitive and NEEDS this type of care. This product gets a solid 5 stars from me and I’m excited to make it part of my morning and evening routines! : )

Hydrating moisturizer with pleasant scent

Update: I’ve now used 2 sticks. I won’t be buying again. Although I like how convenient this moisturizer is, the price is too high for the amount you get.
