Die SkinnyHeat Heizmatte von Romberg eignet sich hervorragend für die Anwendung in Indoor-Growzelten. Besonders bei Growboxen, die an einem klimatisch suboptimalen Standort stehen (z.B. unbeheizte Böden, Kellerräume), leistet die "SkinnyHeat" einen wertvollen Beitrag für ein gutes Anbauklima. Dabei stehen besonders die Nacht- und damit Wurzeltemperaturen im Fokus. Während tagsüber meist ausreichend Wärme über die künstliche Beleuchtung generiert wird, besteht nachts die Gefahr, dass die Temperatur in einen Bereich absinkt, bei der der Wurzelbereich auskühlt und die Pflanzen ihre Stoffwechselaktivitäten redzuieren. Die Folge sind ein deutlich langsameres Wachstum und teils erhebliche Ertragseinbußen. Selbst dann, wenn alle anderen Faktoren (z.B. Lichtmenge, Belüftung, Bewässerung, Nährstoffversorgung) im optimalen Bereich liegen, kann eine Vernachlässigung der Bodentemperatur zu einem verhältnismäßig schlechten Anbauergebnis führen. Um dem vorzubeugen, wird die "SkinnyHeat" Heizmatte einfach zwischen Zeltboden und Einlegeboden gelegt und mit einem Thermostat (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) verbunden. Der Temperatursensor wird idealerweise mittig auf dem Einlegeboden oder in einem seitlichen Drainageloch eines Topfes (im Anbaumedium) platziert.
