Das Long Phish von Christenson ist irgendwo zwischen klassischem Keel Fin Fish und Midlength angesiedelt. Eine recht lange, parallele Outline bei einem flachen Rocker sorgt für Speed ohne Ende. Die Keel Fins sind daher ziemlich weit nach hinten gesetzt, um für Kontrolle zu sorgen. Das Long Phish ist das vermutlich schnellste Board in dieser Größenordnung, welches wir im Sortiment haben. Der Shape lässt mühelos schnelle Sections schaffen und weite Cutbacks auf der offenen Schulter fahren. Wer vertikales, radikales Surfen direkt in der Pocket sucht, wird hier jedoch nicht sein Glück finden.Bei uns gibt’s das Long Phish mit traditionellem Volan Glass und Cut Laps, ein wahres handwerkliches Highlight.

SurferIn und Bedingungen:
Der Sweet Spot vom Long Phish liegt zwischen knöchel- und kopfhoch. In sanften, flacheren Wellen ist es dabei einfacher zu manövrieren als in hohlem, druckvollem Surf. Ein bisschen Vorerfahrung mit Twin Fins ist hilfreich.

Alternativen:

I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
