Das Urgestein der deutschen Offbeat-Szene, schon seit Ende der Achtziger aktiv (EL BOSSO & DIE PING PONGS), ist zurück. Mögen GENTLEMAN und PETER FOX noch bekannter sein, DR. RING DING ist der größte Universalist jamaikanischer Musik hierzulande und umschließt mit großem Herz die vielen Spielarten der Offbeat-Musik. War er zuletzt mit der Band SKAVAGANZA bravourös in den traditionellen 60ern der Karibik unterwegs, stehen die Songs von „The Remedy“ für die große Vielfalt und das verblüffende Talent des Sängers, Entertainers und Posaunisten. Sein warm-knarziger Gesang umrahmt mit perfektem Insel-Akzent die melodisch und rhythmisch toll inszenierten Songs, es gibt Ska, Balladen, Boss Reggae, klassischen 70er-Reggae, Rub-A-Dub zu hören.
