Die streng selektierten Trauben verschiedener Lagen werden handgepflückt und mittels natürlicher Kohlesäuremaischegärung vergoren. Das Lesegut wird im Ganzen in einen Gärbehälter gelegt, wo die intrazelluläre spontane Gärung durch wilde Hefen stattfindet. Die Schalen der Trauben schwimmen dabei nicht im Saft und so fermentiert jede Beere ganz gemächlich in sich. Anschließend wird der Wein per Hand in neue französische Eichenfässer gepresst. Richtig: Per. Hand. Gepresst. Nach mehr als 12-monatigem Holzlager wird ungeschwefelt abgefüllt. Dieser Rotwein ist ein kleines Spektakel. Es wurde nur eine Kleinstauflage hergestellt. Sweet book
Format: Hardcover
This is my 21 month old daughter's current favorite book! Richard Scarry's illustrations are so delightful and I like the content of this book teaching important concepts of good manners. We now refer back to this book often and make up new concepts like "The Polite Elephant knows we use our inside voices inside!" I sort of wish the book emphasized some different things, like apologies, asking permission, tidying up etc but it's a great starting place. Some other reviews mentioned the manners in this book are obsolete but other than "tipping one's hat" I don't really agree that that's the case.

4 Great Grandson’s loved it
Format: Hardcover
In covering the topic of manners my granddaughter said her boys especially loved this one. The 4 boys are aged 3 to 11 and my granddaughter is trying to civilize them. (Or, in other words, teach them to be gentlemen). Books by Richard Scarry are always a big hit and this one was helpful.

Love the Polite Elephant
Format: Hardcover
As parents you want your babies to have the best of books and of Everything. Polite Elephant came recommended by Mayim Bialik's vlog on YouTube. I am not for one to buy everything that is mentioned by celebrities in their videos, but this one was really special as it inculcates good practice and habits. I'm hoping our baby loves this book, although he does throughly enjoy looking at the Elephant tip his hat and smile.

Cute story to teach good manners

Good manners are missing from so many children's books these days - the Polite Elephant is exactly what it purports to be. A cute story where an elephant practices politeness and manners. My toddler loves it!
