Bei Wachsender Kolonie sind drei getrennte Bereiche günstig, um eine optimale Haltungsform zu bieten, Bei der Fütterung von Blättern sollte darauf geachtet werden die Blätter mit Wasser leicht zu besprühen. Optimal zum beheizen, kann eine Heizmatte oder Heizkabel eingesetzt werden. Die Heizmatte sollte aber nicht direkt unter dem Becken platziert werden.
