This book documents the sensational find and explains the histo-rical significance and innovation of the bridge. In addition, the four authors describe the history of Salzau Park, the exemplary restoration of the iron bridge and Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves' bridge oeuvre. All of Laves' surviving bridges have been newly photographed for this book by Olaf Mahlstedt.
