The Northman Gin wird von Lars und Claas, selbst von Hand und mit viel Liebe zum Detail in einer Produktion an der Ostsee (Lübecker Bucht, Schleswig-Holstein) destilliert, abgefüllt und signiert. Alle Arbeitsschritte finden in der eigenen kleinen Destillerie statt.
Wir arbeiten ausschließlich mit qualitativ hochwertigen Rohstoffen und stellen unseren Gin in kleinen Batches von maximal 220 Flaschen her, um den originalen Geschmack des The Northman zu erhalten. Bei uns steht das Produkt noch im Vordergrund und auch deswegen wird noch jede Flasche von uns persönlich signiert.

Unser Anspruch ist, dass The Northman nicht nur durch seine schlichte Eleganz im Design besticht, sondern auch mit seinem einzigartigen Geschmack den Norden, sein Lebensgefühl und unsere Leidenschaft widerspiegelt.

Wir starteten 2019 unsere Reise durch die Gin-Welt und wurden mittlerweile bereits mehrfach international prämiert. Auf den beliebten The Northman „Calm Sea“ folgt nun die unsere neue Variation „Smoky Breeze“.

Geschmack und Botanicals

Der geräucherte Malabar Pfeffer sorgt für ein perfektes Zusammenspiel von leichten Rauchnoten und angenehmer Schärfe. Zitronenschale und heimischer Kombu Royal (Zuckertang) ergeben eine meerige Frische und lassen zusammen mit weiteren Bontanicals einen spannenden Gin entstehen, der an die frische Brise des Nordens und seine Räucherprodukte erinnert. Blüten der Schmetterlingserbse sorgen auf natürlichem Wege für die blaue Farbe, welche sich mit Tonic effektvoll verändert.

Great quality for the price!

This body shimmer oil gives a really nice sun-kissed glow without looking overly glittery. Glowy but not sure about the spf

My first impression was that this works more like a basic body shimmer than anything else. The Glistening Bronze shade gives a noticeable glow, especially on arms and shoulders. It spreads easily and adds a warm shimmer in the light, but the overall effect feels pretty simple and more cosmetic than skincare focused. In use, the oil blends in smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It does leave a bit of moisture behind, similar to a light body oil, and the shimmer shows up well outdoors. The bronze tone is fairly deep, so it seems better suited for medium to darker skin tones or anyone who wants a stronger bronzed glow. The product mentions SPF 45, but there is very little information about the sun protection side of it, so I personally treat this more like a shimmer oil than a sunscreen. Overall, this is fine if you are mainly looking for a body shimmer that adds glow and a bronzed look. It does the job of giving skin a subtle shine and a bit of hydration, but it does not stand out as anything particularly special.
